Had a love for motorcycles and was an experienced rider. His motorcycle went off the road and came back onto the road and Tim was thrown from his bike causing his death. Tim was killed while racing his nephew on motorcycles. Burial will follow in Center View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Anderson Baptist Church in Newton. Tim is survived by his parents, Udean and Nancy Barringer Burke, of Newton, his wife Susie Burke, two sons, Aaron Burke and his wife, Miriam, of Maiden, and Jonathan Burke and his wife, Andrea, of Newton a daughter, Sundee Jones and her husband Doug, of Newton, among several other family members and friends.Ī funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tim was the owner of Burke Tours in Maiden, a position he held for 20 years, and worked in his parents' company Christian Tours, which he rejoined in 2006.
